Parenting in Progress

Parenting in progress is a practical antenatal course focused on how to take care of your newborn when they arrive.

It is not your typical antenatal course as this is not centered around pregnancy and birth: it has been created with both parents in mind.

The aim of the course is to help you to feel confident, give you the knowledge and the tools to feel prepared in how to take care of your new baby.

Fun and engaging activities show you how you can support each other, and teach you strategies to overcome challenges you may face in the early days of parenting.

Sessions take place in the evening or over one day at a weekend, include refreshments and a course manual.

The course is suitable from 20 weeks into your pregnancy.

On the course we cover the following:

  • Fourth trimester

  • Bonding with your baby

  • Baby wearing

  • Different ways to feed your baby and overcoming feeding challenges

  • Colic massage

  • Safe sleep

  • Parents' mental health and how to support each other

Courses are to begin in January 2022 and will be held at See your baby pregnancy care center
